MINUTE-BY-MINUTE RAIN PREDICTION

Up to four hours ahead, worldwide ("rain starts in 12 minutes"). Premium only. Radar where a radar network exists, satellite everywhere else (Rainbow Weather); in Germany, Austria and the Nordics the national radar (DWD, GeoSphere, MET Norway) leads the first hour. Not available at polar latitudes.

NOTIFICATIONS

Weather warnings on every plan: the national weather service's official warnings for where you are, in its own words (the US, Canada, most of Europe and many more countries)
Rain alerts: up to 20 minutes before rain starts, at the strength you choose, then live while it rains (Premium)

ACCURACY

Weather data can be unreliable. Krona depends on the accuracy of its providers' forecasts: Open-Meteo, Apple Weather, OpenWeatherMap, Rainbow Weather, and radar nowcasts from DWD, GeoSphere Austria and MET Norway.

PRIVACY

No account, no ads, no tracking. Position rounded to at least about 500 m before it is sent to our server, stored only as a coarse grid cell, deleted after 90 days. Background location optional; used only to keep widgets and watch current while the app is closed. Server data can be deleted at any time via the form the app links to. Weather warning notifications, when on: your approximate location and a notification ID are kept on our server, without your Data ID, until you switch them off.

Krona Sunlight Watch Face

Watch face only. Needs the Krona Sunlight app; on Wear OS 6+ the app adds it.

THIS IS NOT THE KRONA SUNLIGHT APP

This is only the watch face. It needs the Krona Sunlight app on your phone and watch, which supplies the forecast. On newer watches (Wear OS 6 and up) the app installs this face by itself. Without the app the face shows only the time, the date, the battery and a note to install the app.

Wear OS 6 and newer: install only Krona Sunlight; you do not need this download.
Wear OS 5 and older: install Krona Sunlight, then this face.
